Ansarullah Underlines Continuation of Struggle until Liberation of Entire Yemen
In a statement released on Monday to mark the 54th anniversary of Yemen’s independence from Britain, the movement’s political bureau congratulated the Yemeni nation on the occasion.
It said the occasion reminds every one of the sacrifices and great heroism of the people of Yemen during the fight for independence.
Ansarullah noted that the Yemeni people are now battling against the aggression, blockade and occupation launched by the US, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates against Yemen.
Today’s aggressors should also know that a humiliating defeat awaits them and they will be forced out of Yemen with the help of God, it added.
The statement went on to underscore that Yemenis will continue their struggle against the aggressors until the full liberation of the country.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the US and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crushing popular Ansarullah resistance movement.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis, most of them civilians, have been killed and millions more displayed by the war.
The Saudi-led aggression has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases.
Yemeni armed forces and allied Popular Committees, however, have grown steadily in strength against the Saudi-led invaders, and left Riyadh and its allies bogged down in the country.
